As someone who has unique and diverse experiences and interests, I've been a part of many clubs, organizations, and teams. I love collaborating with people, and I work best when planning and managing. Below I've included some details on a few of my past and ongoing projects!
FCPS APAC Coalition Co-Founder
The Asian Pacific American Clubs Coalition aims to expand the Asian community and share cultural experiences within FCPS. We work towards better equality for all APAs and are currently planning virtual activities and other exciting projects! I am a co-founder and executive board member who also manages the coalition Instagram.
Hoa Nghiem for Black Lives Matter
The Black Lives Matter from the Heart of Love and Understanding Initiative, founded by teen members of GDPT Hoa Nghiem, aims to educate members of the Vietnamese Buddhist community on social injustices that Black people face every day. I'm proud to say that I hold leadership positions as an Operations Committee Leader and Email Manager. We have many fundraisers planned, one of which will be released very soon. Winter Camp 2020
At GDPT Hoa Nghiem, I've always been a leader and vocal team member. At this winter camp, I won three awards: one for my team's 1st place ranking, one for earning the most camp money, and one for individual outstanding performance. I'm always looking forward to leading and having fun at more camps!
GDPT Hoa Nghiem Dance Team
Thanks to my Buddhist Youth Association, I was raised to learn and love unique extracurriculars such as Vietnamese dance from a young age. In 2017, I officially created a dance team alongside my friends within my organization. Together, we've choreographed our own dances and performed many times over the following years. I'm happy to say I'm recognized as a leading choreographer/performer and also manage an Instagram dedicated to Hoa Nghiem's performances.
